Assumptions

The savings calculator assumes that you could gain 10% additional coverage through our automated purchasing and management of Reserved Instances (RIs) and savings plans using the Commitment Orchestrator feature, to a maximum of 70%. It also accounts for 30% savings from the additional coverage using 1-year convertible RIs and compute savings plans. Please note that the actual additional coverage and savings will depend on your historical compute spend patterns. Additionally, the calculator estimates a 70% reduction in non-production compute spend, based on the average savings our customers have achieved with our Cloud AutoStopping feature. Further, the calculator assumes 70% average spot savings from the Cluster Orchestrator feature, covering 30% of your monthly non-production EKS spend. Savings from Cloud AutoStopping and Cluster Orchestrator are from the on-demand share of spend, not covered by RIs or Savings Plans.
