We surveyed 500 engineering leaders and practitioners to discover how the developer experience impacts their workloads, plans for innovation, and the overall bottom line of their business. 

We found that:

  • Developers manage 14 different vendor tools on average
  • It takes a new developer an average of 100 days to onboard given so many tools
  • 97% of developers context switch because their tools are from multiple vendors
  • 52% of developers cited burnout as a reason their developer peers leave their job
  • 62% of executive buyers would prefer a platform versus siloed tools
