We have all had to learn something at some point in our journey. Harness University’s Instructor-Led Training is designed to help you scale by being prescriptive and hands-on. We have just crossed over our 1000th student who has been trained.
The Greek Philosopher Heraclitus came up with the famous saying “the only constant is change”. Fast forward to today, this holds true as the foundation in how we better our software delivery craft. Changes can be incremental or revolutionary, but at some point we need to learn something new. As technical practitioners as an added challenge, we have to maintain our day jobs while balancing learning new technologies/platforms. When we re-launched a new vision for Harness Instructor-Led Training in 2024, we designed the training to be immersive and hands-on to scale your expertise.
In July 2025, we crossed over our 1000th student that has been through our Instructor-Led Training [ILT]. This represents several dozen cohorts ranging from small batches with customers to large batches with GSIs. Each cohort can represent a different combination of Harness Modules and capabilities. One item is constant throughout each Instructor-Led Training, that our empathy, material, and skillset are there to help you scale your software delivery knowledge wherever you are.
We are a strong believer that learning amongst peers is valuable. Our Instructor-Led Training is not only packed with great material, the ILTs are also led by Harness Engineers. A two way dialogue is encouraged to ask “what do you (Harness Engineer) think about this”. One of the best ways to facilitate that dialogue is learning in-person.
With our recent Dedicated Instructor-Led Training packaging update, travel for the Harness Instructor is now included to a customer location of your choice. Bringing your teams together can be a great way to facilitate even hybrid teams who do not get to see each other in person regularly. In-person is optional and we still run a good number of virtual sessions for highly distributed teams or when travel does not make sense.
Combining both in-person and virtual training, we recently had our largest cohort so far, focusing on high impact DevOps Practitioners within the GSIs.
Previously with point solutions, you could build your entire career in just one product or module. Modern problems do require modern platforms to continue to help innovate. With Harness being a true end-to-end AI enabled Software Delivery platform, upskilling to a modern platform is beneficial not only to your projects but your overall skillsets.
We have just concluded our largest training cohort to date of over 200 individuals from several high-impact Partners over the course of a week. They represent DevOps and Platform Engineering practitioners working with global clients to strengthen their software delivery and innovation pipeline postures. Over the course of the week, learners focused on several Harness Modules in a hybrid fashion; mixture of on-site and virtual.
For those who could not attend the on-site training, we offered a hybrid model with virtual sessions.
Having prescribed and hands-on module based training can be seen as an investment in reduction of time-to-value. The creators and instructors of the Instructor-Led Trainings are also the authors of the Harness Certifications. Taking your first step with Harness Education can help you build and sharpen your software delivery skills.
A popular option and first step with Harness Education is our Self-Paced Training [SPT]. These are free offerings which are webinar/video style focusing on Harness Modules. The material shown in the SPTs are the same material which students will be hands-on with and building the intermediate steps with a Harness Engineer in the ILTs. Our Developer Certifications are free to help validate your knowledge. If you are ready to organize a Harness Instructor-Led Training in your organization, reach out to your account representative today or can e-mail us at training@harness.io.
Always keep on learning!
